On October 21, 2025, the Women in Data Science (WiDS) Munich event returns - bringing together inspiring voices and cutting-edge insights from the world of data science. This dynamic half-day event, part of the global WiDS Worldwide initiative from Stanford University, celebrates the brilliance and diversity of women in the field. The event is organized once again by the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU), the Technical University of Munich (TUM), as well as Pruna AI, and Sixt, associated with the WiDS worldwide non-profit organization. We’re thrilled to once again partner with the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation (BR) who host the event at BR’s headquarters in Munich.
We’re expecting around 140 guests from industry, media, and academia - fostering an exciting mix of perspectives and experiences.
What can you look forward to?
A rich lineup of talks covering everything from AI in social contexts, evidence-based communication, and the importance of uncertainty in machine learning, to navigating your first steps in a data science career. The breadth of topics is no coincidence—it reflects the inclusive and interdisciplinary spirit of both the Stanford-led global movement and our local Munich community.
