3D AI Lab at the TUM

The MDSI office at Garching was scanned on 16.12.2022, as part of an indoor data capture project at the 3D AI Lab at TUM headed by MDSI Core Member Prof. Angela Dai.

The high quality scans will enable new AI methods for photorealistic computer-generated imagery using a small number of photos from a professional or mobile camera.

This allows content creation and virtual tours through the space with a free viewpoint. The scans will also enable better scene understanding for virtual reality and robotics applications.
