Center for Digital Medicine and Health
Researchers from the fields of medicine, computer science and mathematics will work together at the Center for Digital Medicine and Health (ZDMG). They will jointly develop new approaches in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence and to promote their clinical application. For the new research building at Klinikum rechts der Isar, Technical University of Munich (TUM) is receiving around 43.6 million euros from the federal government and the Free State of Bavaria.
For research into theon digital medicine of the future at ZDMG, TUM is pooling its research strengths in the fields of medicine, computer science and mathematics. Through the targeted integration of scientific and engineering competencies at the new interdisciplinary research center, various medical application areas will utilize the newly developedment of innovative methods and technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science will be made available for various medical application areas.

Under the umbrella of the Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI), ZDMG will develop new data-driven approaches and methods as an autonomous and independent research center and promote their use for the benefit of patients, especially in the fields of cancer, cardiovascular and neurological diseases.
