Program Manager (m/f/d) at the Munich Data Science Institute (MSDI)

MDSI is looking for a full-time Program Manager to join our team with immediate effect, initially for two years.

Founded in 2020, the Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI) of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is an integrative research center that performs tasks in research, teaching and the promotion of young talent with an interdisciplinary and cross-faculty focus in the field of data science and in particular machine learning and artificial intelligence as well as data science service tasks for the TUM. The MDSI develops programs for doctoral students as well as continuing education programs for specialists and managers on various data-related topics. In addition, the MDSI is constantly expanding its range of educational events for the specialist audience and various target groups.

Your tasks:

  • You will plan and organize teaching and training courses, programmes and events for specialist audiences as well as various internal and external target groups.
  • You will support the further development of existing offerings.
  • You will be responsible for evaluating courses and developing recommendations for program planning.
  • You will manage the external presentation of the programs on our website as well as marketing activities and maintain our network within and outside TUM.
  • You will plan and organize various formats in virtual, hybrid and face-to-face form for the different target groups; you will be responsible for communication with lecturers, partners and participants.

Requirements:

  • You have a university degree. 
  • You have several years of experience in the coordination of university teaching or continuing education and/or in education management.
  • You have excellent communication skills, enjoy actively approaching people and have the ability to network quickly and authentically with people from different disciplines, cultural backgrounds and hierarchical levels. Moderation experience is desirable.
  • You have a structured working style, a professional demeanor and can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You have excellent project management skills and are able to motivate different target groups.
  • You have excellent written and spoken German and English skills required for the tasks mentioned.
  • You have a sound knowledge of the common MS Office applications and ideally have experience of working with Typo3.
  • You have experience in the implementation of virtual teaching and learning formats.
