Team Assistant (m/f/d) at the Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI) - full-time, part-time suitable

The MDSI is looking for a team assistant to supplement an area of activity that is currently being developed for an open-ended employment contract.

The Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI) of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), founded in 2020, is an integrative research institute that performs tasks in research, teaching and the promotion of young researchers with an interdisciplinary and cross-faculty focus in the field of data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence and supports data science service tasks for TUM.
We are looking for a versatile personality to join our office as soon as possible for an open-ended employment contract to complement an area of activity that is currently being developed.

Your tasks:

  • Carrying out general secretarial and organizational tasks
  • Supporting the public
  • Supervision and processing of financial matters relating to third-party and budget funds and bookings in consultation with the management. Assisting with the preparation of where-used lists, financial checks and audits; financial reporting
  • Support in the administration of personnel matters
  • Supervision of building management
  • General administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Completed vocational training in the administrative or office sector (or comparable qualification)
  • Several years of professional experience in office organization. Professional experience in higher education and/or administration is an advantage
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Good knowledge of SAP desirable and confident handling of the usual IT applications for spreadsheets and archiving
  • Enthusiasm and ability to work in a team, customer orientation, ability to work under pressure and willingness to perform
  • High sense of responsibility combined with a very conscientious way of working
