Top |

Within the BMBF's call "Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education", two proposals with participation of MDSI members were successful. The projects will start in December 2021 and run until the end of 2025.

The project "KI-CP@TUM" aims to adapt new and existing AI modules also for primarily non-technical courses and to work out transferable structures. For this purpose, professional learning communities are to be formed for the systematization of AI-specific courses. Cooperation partners are Prof. Nerdel, Prof. Althoff, Prof. Diepold, Prof. Günnemann, Prof. Haddadin, Prof. Heckmann, Prof. Rixen and Prof. Schlichtmann. For this project, the BMBF is providing TUM with approximately 2.0 MEUR.

In the project "BB-KI_Chips", students will be introduced to the topic of "AI on Embedded Systems" – from the theoretical foundations to the design of chips to exemplary applications. Cooperation partners are Prof. Schulz, Prof. Cremers and Prof. Werner from TUM, as well as Prof. Kristic, Prof. Korup, Prof. Lucke, and Prof. Stabernack from the University of Potsdam. For this project, the BMBF is providing TUM with approximately 1.8 MEUR.
