Together with UnternehmerTUM and Venture Labs, TUM Entrepreneurship has launched the Female Founders initiative. The aim is to bring the number of female founders at TUM into line with the number of female students by 2030. TUM currently has 36% female students, but only 11% female founders.
EXIST Women is a funding program launched by the BMWK and will start as a pilot in Germany for the first time in 2024. Universities and colleges in Germany that had a 12-month program for female founders were eligible to apply. TUM successfully applied and will be able to support 10 women with the scholarship through the EXIST Women TUM Female Founders project. With measures such as mentoring, pitch training and networking events, the scholarship holders should be qualified to become female founders.
The kick-off event for the TUM Female Founders program is scheduled for 06.03.24 in the TUM Venture Lab Built Environment room at 14h. With this event we would like to introduce ourselves and the joint initiative, network and create synergies to lay the foundation for an equal future, in which diverse talents are given space for the innovations of tomorrow.
At the event, you will have the opportunity to get to know the scholarship holders, become part of the Female Founders community and listen to a keynote speech by Prof. Hana Milanov.
