Shih-Pu earned his baccalaureate degree in civil engineering at National Cheng Kung University in 2012. After that, he completed his postgraduate studies in structural engineering at National Taiwan University in 2014, conducting research focusing on seismic analysis and earthquake-resistant structures. In 2023, he completed his second master's degree in scientific computing and data analysis (MISCADA) at Durham University, where his dissertation focused on detecting snow cover changes through machine learning algorithms.
He worked as a structural engineer at an engineering consultancy in Taiwan from 2015 to 2020, engaged in the metro station, bridge analysis and automatic analysis program development.
His current research interest is assisting engineers in solving practical problems through engineer-computer interaction.
