The Diehl Group is a globally active German technology group headquartered in Nuremberg. The independent family-owned company is divided into five subgroups: Diehl Metall, Diehl Controls, Diehl Defence, Diehl Aviation and Diehl Metering. They offer a wide range of products in various industrial sectors and have a large international customer base. Diehl stands for quality and technology leadership, conducts market-oriented research and development and focuses on the digitalization of its activities and products.

The partnership with the Diehl Group started with a research project on AI-based efficiency enhancement of production processes conducted by Diehl Metering and the TUM School of Management. This pilot project paves the way for further future initiatives between the Diehl Group and the MDSI. The Technical University of Munich will thus become a central academic research partner for the Diehl Group in the future.
