At the AMC retreat, nine doctoral students, four postdoctoral researchers, and six professors from TUM came together. The early-career scientists presented their approaches to key challenges in the field—grounded in theory, computational modeling, and machine learning. They proposed solutions and shared successful outcomes from current research projects.
In addition to these project presentations, there were two workshops on ‘Poster presentation’ and ‘Pitching your next manuscript to your research group leader’ led by Dr. Heidi Henrickson.
The diversity of research projects and expertise was reflected in the composition of the participants, who represented three different TUM Schools, the Schools of Computation, Information & Technology, Engineering & Design, and Natural Sciences.
This inaugural annual event was organized by AMC Director Prof. Patrick Rinke with the support of Silvia Plail and Barbara Asam. Researchers met from July 22 to 24, 2025, at the TUM Science & Study Center Raitenhaslach near Burghausen. A detailed agenda can be found here.
